[SIOUX FALLS, SD] (Nov. 21, 2017) – Distillers grains use is growing under a new partnership that will expand availability of premium Dakota Gold feed in the Middle East.

U.S.-based POET, the largest biofuels producer in the world, has signed a partnership agreement with U.S.-based Al Dahra ACX, a subsidiary of Al Dahra Holding and a leader in the animal feed business. Under the agreement, Al Dahra ACX will market and distribute “Dakota Gold” distillers grains (DDGS) to producers of cattle, poultry and other animal species in nine Middle East markets including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Kuwait.

“More livestock producers around the world are coming to recognize the incredible value that DDGS have to offer their operations,” POET Nutrition President Greg Breukelman said. “Dakota Gold in particular offers a superior consistency and digestibility to help producers maximize growth and profitability.”

“The partnership with POET is another testament to Al Dahra’s ongoing efforts to offer high value feed solutions that contribute to producers’ efficiency and livestock enhanced well-being and performance,” HE Khadim Al Darei, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Al Dahra Holding said. “It further allows us to deliver on our promise and commitment to our customer base in the GCC and the Middle East by diversifying the feed portfolio offering available to them, improving the quality and nutritional value of the products and providing a secure and continuous supply chain.”

Dakota Gold optimizes milk production in dairy cattle, enhances efficiency and performance in beef cattle and lowers the overall costs of production across various animal species. It is a unique feed product that is high in quality protein, digestible fiber, amino acids and phosphorus, and it elevates the overall nutritional value of feed rations. Dakota Gold is also high in palatability, digestibility and flowability.

“We are delighted to partner with POET Nutrition in our mission to deliver Global Feed Solutions to farmers around the world,” Al Dahra ACX’s Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Gordhamer said. “With our combined integrated supply chains – Al Dahra as the global leader in forage and POET as the global leader in dried distillers grains -- we together offer our customers unparalleled security, quality and service.”

A dedicated team will promote “Dakota Gold” and educate the different customer segments on its features. The team is headed by Diaa Ghaly, Al Dahra ACX Feed and Nutrition Managing Director. Diaa can be reached on dghaly@aldahraacx.com for questions and product trials.
