New general manager takes over at POET Biorefining - Fostoria


Ohio native Mike Bishop leads 69 million gallon-per-year ethanol plant

Mike Bishop is the new general manager at POET Biorefining – Fostoria.

Bishop supervises professional, technical and support staff at the facility ensuring efficient production and that all rules and regulations are met.

“I am excited to be directly involved with providing solutions for energy independence with a clean biofuel that has benefits at the local and national level,” Bishop said. “We will continue to build our team in Fostoria to create a safe and profitable operation.”

Bishop is a native of Van Buren, Ohio and received his Bachelors of Science in Technology and Masters of Industrial Technology from Bowling Green State University. He is also completing a Doctor of Business Administration degree at Northcentral University. Bishop has served as a Director of Operations and Plant Manager during a 22-year career in the automotive industry.
