At POET, this holiday holds great importance. Over the past three decades we have grown from a single, humble bioprocessing facility in Scotland, South Dakota, to one of the world's largest producers of biofuels and bioproducts. We’re passionate about preserving our planet, protecting the air we breathe, and solving global issues surrounding agriculture, human health, and the environment.

We hold a firm, longstanding belief that our world can meet many of its needs through agriculture rather than fossil fuels. In addition to reducing carbon emissions and improving air quality across the U.S. through the production of bioethanol fuel, POET produces a growing suite of sustainable bioproducts that are marketed worldwide, from corn oil that can be used to produce renewable diesel and biodiesel, to purified alcohol for eco-friendly cleaning and sanitizing products, to renewable carbon dioxide that is captured at our facilities and used for beverage carbonation, food processing, and municipal water treatment.

POET’s utmost goal is to leave a legacy of improved worldwide health and sustainability by creating a brighter world for future generations through the power of the sun, the soil, and the seed—and we’re just getting started.
