POET to discuss cellulosic ethanol, NASCAR at Fuel Ethanol Workshop


Tour of POET’s newest plant also on Indianapolis conference agenda

In panel discussions next week POET will discuss the road to commercializing cellulosic ethanol and the marketing effort around ethanol’s sponsorship of NASCAR at the annual Fuel Ethanol Workshop (FEW) in Indianapolis.

POET Senior Vice President of Communications Greg Breukelman will provide the ethanol perspective in a panel titled “NASCAR and Ethanol: Exploring Our Industry’s Largest Consumer Marketing Effort” at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28.

Jim Sturdevant, Director of Project LIBERTY, will discuss the steps POET has taken toward commercializing cellulosic ethanol as well as what is coming in a panel titled “Penciling it Out: Reconciling Production Costs and Market Opportunities for Next Generation Biofuels” at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29.

On Thursday, June 30, POET will host industry tours of its newest ethanol plant: POET Biorefining – Cloverdale.

FEW will be held in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis and will run June 27-30.
