POET CEO outlines ethanol’s future at Fortune “Brainstorm Green” conference


Jeff Broin joins other top business, government, environmental leaders

POET CEO Jeff Broin will outline ethanol’s role in the current and future energy environment at the Fortune “Brainstorm Green” conference April 12-14 in Laguna Niguel, Calif. Broin will participate in two panel discussions on biofuels and renewable energy.

Broin will join other business, government and environmental leaders including William Ford, Executive Chairman of Ford Motor Co.; H. Lee Scott, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; Fred Krupp, President of Environmental Defense Fund; Frances Beinecke, President of Natural Resources Defense Council; Mark Tercek, President and CEO of The Nature Conservancy; Hugh Grant, Chairman, President and CEO of Monsanto Company; Cliff Burrows, President of Starbucks Coffee Co.; David L. Sokol, Chairman of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company and Chairman, President and CEO, NetJets Inc.; and Sylvia Earle, Former Explorer in Residence for the National Geographic Society in discussing a wide range of “green” topics. Issues include clean technology, the role of government in current and future energy issues, sustainability and more.
