POET adds two vice presidents in leadership positions


VPs hired for Government Affairs and General Counsel

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (April 14, 2008) – In recent months, POET has brought on two new vice presidents to aid in the leadership of the company. Rob Skjonsberg began in November 2007 as Vice President of Government Affairs and David Bearden began in January 2008 as Vice President and General Counsel.

Before joining POET, Skjonsberg served five years as Chief of Staff for the State of South Dakota and nine years in the financial services industry with Wells Fargo. In his current position, Skjonsberg is responsible for advocating POET’s public policy positions at the local, state and national levels.

Bearden comes to POET from the United States Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. where he served in the Bush Administration as Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Navy, the second ranking legal office in the Department of the Navy. As POET’s chief legal officer, Bearden oversees the POET legal team of in-house and outside counsel in the provision of legal services to the company.
