New General Manager at POET Biorefining - Marion


Cliff Brannon leads team at 68 million gallon-per-year ethanol plant

Cliff Brannon, a native of Terre Haute, Ind., is the new general manager at POET Biorefining – Marion (Ohio).

Brannon will supervise all professional, technical and support staff at the facility ensuring that all rules and regulations are met. Brannon replaces Dave Brooks who is now serving as General Manager at POET’s newest plant in Cloverdale, Indiana.

“I am excited to be a part of domestic energy solutions,” Brannon said. “The ethanol industry can provide the best overall solution for automotive energy and eliminate our need for foreign products.”

Brannon received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Indiana State University. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps as part of the 4th Marine Air Wing in Atlanta. Brannon worked for 23 years with Sony in the optical media manufacturing group, including leadership in plant construction and management, quality assurance, process improvement and business development. Brannon has also volunteered as a board member with the Springfield Chamber of Commerce in Springfield, Ore. and Terre Haute Symphony.
