“The Broin Companies are very excited to bring this world-class facility to northern Iowa,” said Jeff Broin, C.E.O. of the Broin Companies. “Iowa Ethanol is creating a new market for area corn growers; it is providing new highly technical jobs and will contribute millions of dollars to the local economy through its operations.”

With the cooperation of many individuals, local and state political leadership and in partnership with members of the agricultural community, Iowa Ethanol is enthusiastic about this new value-added business. Ethanol production by Iowa Ethanol will consume nearly 16 million bushels of corn from the regional area, improving the local corn basis while providing an environmentally friendly fuel and a valuable high quality Dakota Gold PlusTM brand livestock feed for local, regional and national markets.

“We have received a tremendous response throughout the area. Everyone at Iowa Ethanol is looking forward to providing a new major marketing alternative for area corn growers,” said Tim Voegele, General Manager of Iowa Ethanol. “We are starting production well ahead of schedule and are proud to work in partnership with the Broin Companies to create a very positive, value-added agricultural business for the region.”

Iowa Ethanol will produce 45 million gallons of ethanol annually and is the 17th ethanol plant built by the Broin Companies who began building ethanol plants in 1983. The company has built plants in 5 states and provides turnkey development, design/build, management and product marketing services with their partner facilities.
