Frontier Ethanol, LLC Near Gowrie, IA to Host Grand Opening

Sioux Falls, SD - The Broin Companies are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of Frontier Ethanol, LLC. The Grand Opening Event will take place at the plant site near Gowrie, Iowa, on Thursday, May 25, 2006. Public tours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Vanguard Squadron, an ethanol-powered airplane fleet will provide a fly-over show at 12:30 p.m. The program begins at 1 p.m.

Public parking is not allowed at the plant site. Parking areas in Gowrie are located at:

1. North Beek Street
(primary parking)

2. Zion Lutheran Church, 1003 Church Street
(secondary parking)

3. Gowrie Country Club, 601 4th Street
(overflow parking)

Frontier Ethanol will consume more than 21 million bushels of corn from the area to produce 60 million gallons of ethanol per year. The plant will also produce around 178,000 tons of premium Dakota Gold Enhanced Nutrition Distillers Products™ for regional, national, and international markets.

"This plant will improve the local corn basis and provide approximately 40 high quality jobs with an approximate annual payroll of $1.8 million. In addition to the many positive impacts the plant will have on the regional area, Frontier Ethanol will be producing a high performance, American made, environmentally friendly fuel."

Frontier Ethanol is the 23rd ethanol plant built by the Broin Companies, who provide turnkey development, design, engineering, construction, management, and marketing services for their premier partner plants. Broin Companies plants currently operating in Iowa include Tall Corn Ethanol in Coon Rapids; Iowa Ethanol in Hanlontown; Otter Creek Ethanol in Ashton; Voyager Ethanol in Emmetsburg; and Horizon Ethanol in Jewell.
