Broin Companies Announce Missouri Ethanol, LLC Near Laddonia, MO

Sioux Falls, SD – Today the Broin Companies announced plans for development of an ethanol plant near Laddonia, Missouri. Broin Companies is partnering on the project with East Central Ag Products, a 600-member, farmer-owned coop in the region and North East Missouri Grain, LLC in Macon, Missouri.

Missouri Ethanol will be the 25th ethanol plant built by the Broin Companies, who will provide turnkey development, design, engineering, construction, management and marketing services for the project.

“We are thrilled to team up with the Broin Companies on this project; they have an excellent reputation with proven performance in the industry,” said David Vogt, Chairman of East Central Ag Products. “An ethanol plant near Laddonia has been a long time coming and we are excited to move ahead on this project.”

The plant will annually consume approximately 17 million bushels of locally-grown corn to produce 45 million gallons of ethanol and 134,000 tons of premium Dakota Gold Enhanced Nutrition Distillers Products™. The plant will employ approximately 40 full-time employees with an annual payroll of approximately $1.8 million.

Site work has begun and plant start-up is projected for late 2006.
